WHY TAPE?

The Why

JOYCE's therapeutic tape provides gentle external support to the abdomen and pelvis. When applied correctly, the tape may help redistribute the weight of the abdomen, support surrounding muscles and connective tissue, and provide sensory feedback that can assist with posture and movement.

Many people find that this supportive lift can help reduce feelings of heaviness or strain through the lower abdomen, pelvis and lower back.

Some techniques in this guide are designed to support pelvic discomfort associated with conditions such as endometriosis, while others are intended to provide additional support during the later stages of pregnancy, when the growing abdomen can increase physical load on the body.

TAPING TECHNIQUES

The When

For Pelvic Pain and Endometriosis
Techniques that focus on supporting the lower abdomen and pelvis, such as Back Relief #1 and Front Hold, may be helpful for individuals experiencing pelvic discomfort or abdominal tension.

These techniques can be used outside of pregnancy and may be particularly helpful during times of increased pelvic discomfort.

For Later Stages of Pregnancy
Techniques that support you as the belly grows, the body adapts to a changing centre of gravity, such as Back Relief #1, Back Relief #2, Belly Hold, Sling Support #1, Sling Support #2, Front Hold, Belly Balance #1, Belly Balance #2, Diaphragm Support, may be helpful. These techniques are designed to provide additional lift and support to the abdomen, helping to distribute weight more evenly and reduce strain on the lower back and pelvis.

Comfort plus!

This tape helped my pelvic pain so much! Relied on it to provide extra support and comfort throughout my final trimester. No longer felt like I needed to lift and hold my growing belly.

Love it

Great alternative to bulky Velcro waistbands that slip off when you sit down and move around. Easily hidden under any outfit with different skin tone options.

Such a noticable difference

I started using Joyce belly taping for pelvic pain during pregnancy and it made such a noticeable difference. The added support helped relieve pressure through my pelvis and made walking, standing and even getting through the day feel so much easier.
I’d absolutely recommend Joyce to any mum-to-be needing extra support during pregnancy 🤍
